When I first sat down to write this blog I was going to title "stressed, anxious and all of the things", but as I started researching bible verses for this blog I found that it is a blessing to be stressed and anxious and all of the things.
James 1:2-4 says,
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James says in plain english that trials are to be considered as joy being that, that is when God works most in us. I consider being stressed as a trial, it is not meant to last forever, however, we must experience it so that the Lord can test our faith. Not only does it test our faith, but it teaches us to persevere through all things.
Proverbs 16:3 says,
3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Which perfectly into what 1 Corinthians 3:11 says,
11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
So in all you do commit it to the Lord for he is already present in the situation before you even get there. Therefore, there is no need to be anxious because the great Lord and Savior already has worked everything out according to his good and faithful plan.
I have been living in a constant state of stress and anxiety lately, probably more then I would like to admit. I know that I do not handle it very well, but day by day, moment by moment, I am constantly trying to look to the Lord our God for guidance and perseverance to get me to through all things. It is by his grace alone that I continue to wake up each morning. It is by his mercy alone that I have purpose. By the love of our savior I can say that this earth can through nothing at me that my God can't get me through.
Rest in knowing that the Lord Jesus provides us with peace in all things, which means that we can lay our stress and anxiety on Him and He will take care of the rest.
Job 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

p.s. I apologize for the inconsistency of my blogs. I am back in full swing at school and do not have much time. However, when the Lord lays it on my heart to write, I always do.
